Following more than 20 years of offering low key and select wedding blessings and receptions, we are delighted to announce that from 2023 we will be offering the opportunity to be legally married at Coverwood.

Our Weddings

Spread out over 225 acres of pasture and woodland together with 14 acres of landscaped gardens with four spring fed and interlinked lakes, Coverwood is one those ‘secret’ low key environments that you’ll be glad you unearthed.

All of our locations are outdoors (with temporary cover if necessary) giving a true grounded natural feel to the occasion. All you need to do is choose the location that best suits you.

 

Eat and Drink Surrey Hills

Following the construction of our own on farm butchery, Provenance Cuts, together with commercial kitchen, we can now offer guests a truly local farm to fork experience. Pair your food with some of the finest Surrey Hills wine, gin and beer producers all situated within a 10 mile radius, and you can be sure you indulge in true sustainable quality fare.

We offer a full variety of catered options through our Fillet and Bean brand,  which range from traditional seated catering to more informal street food style from our Airstream style unit, sure to catch everyone’s eye and make your day truly memorable.

Practicing regenerative farming techniques, Coverwood is fully committed to developing a sustainable future for generations to come.

As more and more farmers struggle to meet the ever-increasing costs and challenges, we at Coverwood are constantly seeking and developing the best farming techniques that will not only reduce our carbon footprint but also help sequest carbon for the benefit of those living further afield.

Our pedigree herd of Pasture for Life Accredited Hereford cattle and flock of Llyn and Texel sheep roam our pastures here high up in the hills. Our methods of livestock husbandry promote healthy grassland which in turn benefits the environment.

The Hurtwood Inn

We have partnered with our local pub and hotel, The Hurtwood Inn, located just 1 mile away to offer further alternatives to help meet all budgets. Perhaps get married with us, enjoy a canape reception or tea party before heading back to the hotel where you can enjoy a sumptuous wedding breakfast (with our farm produced meat) before retiring to the beautifully appointed rooms. The Hurtwood can accommodate wedding parties of up to 70 guests for dinner and have 15 ensuite bedrooms together with a self-catering cottage for 4 (+ 3 children.)

 Pricing

The following guide gives an indication of our charges. Please enquire to find out more. Please note that you will need to enquire with the registry office directly to book and pay for a ceremony slot.

  • Plain and simple, this is our ceremony hire which typically starts at £1,500 for up to 25 guests.

    Planning something super low-key with just a handful of guests? Hire starts at just £750.

    Bolt-on a celebration package such as canapes or a tea party from £15 per head, or alternatively, head down to the Hurtwood Inn to commence the celebration.

  • Looking for something that is not the full traditional evening celebration but something that is calm and refined?

    Our Grazing offers start at £3,750 for 30 guests and include the ceremony and venue hire and a covered seating area. Catering starts at £40 per head.

  • We only permit 6 of these over the summer, roughly one per month.

    Hosting up to 125 guests usually involves the ceremony and full evening reception. Marquee or Tipi hire is extra.

    Venue hire starts at £4,500, and catering from £90 per head. Note: Please note we have a music cut-off of 11 pm to respect the tranquillity of the Surrey Hills AONB and a venue vacation time of 11.30 pm.

Alcohol – A list of our suppliers and pricing is available on request. For The Herd celebrations we operate a bar.

VAT – Please be advised that all indicative costs are subject to vat.
